The Museum of Northern California Art (monca) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit institution run primarily by volunteers. Volunteers fill positions throughout the museum and work with the Executive Director and Board members to accomplish the tasks of successfully running an art museum. Volunteers fill day-to-day operations and business functions.
Marketing and Public Relations
Volunteers help develop strategies for raising awareness of monca in the North State.
Do you enjoy meeting new people, talking about art, and setting up activities at community events? This is a great opportunity for those who love talking to people of all ages.
Volunteers work with the Board of Directors to plan and implement fundraising events and programs.
Always needed, whether to create content for an upcoming exhibit, find grants for museums or nonprofits, or come up with ideas for museum programs. Volunteers who prefer to work behind the scenes might choose this option.
Another perfect way to help monca. If you have experience with grant writing with a track record for success, this is the option for you!
Facilitate the Mobile Museum program, educating and entertaining the public by bringing original art and activities to schools and senior centers. Driving Docents get to see and learn about the original art in the collection. Perfect for art enthusiasts!
This is a great time to get involved with our committees because they are brand new. All suggestions are welcome. Whether you want to design exhibitions, come up with marketing strategies, fundraise, plan educational programs, or help the permanent collection grow and flourish, joining a committee allows you to join in on all of the important decisions.
monca offers Marketing/PR/Social Media positions to build exposure for the museum, its exhibitions, collections, events, and happenings
