yArt Sale at monca

What are you doing with all the items you’ve suddenly found – and no longer need – cleaning out rooms, closets, cabinets, and drawers during Shelter-in-Place? monca is taking donations for a fundraising event – “yART Sale at monca”.

What is a yART sale? How is it different than a yard sale?
During the event artists and designers are available to help you purchase and repurpose donated items. What would a coat of paint do on that chair? Or, how would that painting look if you repainted or reframed it?

monca is accepting donations for the upcoming yART Sale on Thursday – Saturday, June 25-27 and Wednesday – Thursday, July 1-2 from 11 am to 4 pm at the museum, 900 Esplanade. Acceptable items include articles from your kitchen, dining room, furniture, games/puzzles, art, toys, books, etc. NO CLOTHES AND/OR ELECTRONICS. All donations are tax-deductible. Receipts are available when items are dropped off.

The yART Sale is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 9 am – 4 pm outside monca on the Esplanade and Washington sides of the building.
