Artists:

Ruth Ormerod: Originally from New York, Ruth moved to Chico in 1964. Ms. Ormerod wasprimarily a printmaker, but also did many paintings. This piece, Guardians of Blue Volcanoes, was painted in water media (gouache) in 1990.  She died at the age of 86.

Richard Hornaday: Originally from Missouri, Richard moved to Chico, taught art and served for years as the Art Department Chair at Chico State. This piece, Sidewalk, was painted in gouache (opaque watercolor) in 1953.  He died in 2013, also at the age of 86.
