An Important Message from monca – March 21 to April 30, 2020

In compliance with the California Public Health Department and the CDC, monca, The Museum of Northern California Art, will be closing its doors indefinitely to protect visitors and our volunteers against COVID-19. We will constantly be re-accessing this situation and will take the lead of health authorities as to when to reopen. We hope that will be soon both for the health of America and the health of our economy. Our area is unfortunately too familiar with natural disasters.

One of the things that was visible in our recent experiences with the Camp Fire is art as a healing agent. monca saw this particularly with children in last Summer’s Literacy Program. Art in its many forms provided comfort, resilience, wisdom, and the means for self-expression and connection. Starting next week monca will return to “pop-ups” virtually online.

Videos of our current exhibition Unbroken Legacies: Northern California Art Glass will be available at www.monca.org, monca’s Facebook, Instagram and YouTube pages, and our newsletter. If you are currently not receiving our newsletter and would like to, sign-ups are available at www.monca.org. monca’s Board of Directors thanks you for your understanding and wishes good health to all.
