Observe… the Creative Process

“Observe…the Creative Process” is an unusual exhibition for monca, one that offers a different viewing experience for museum visitors.  For this exhibition monca hosts a duo of artists who will make the museum’s galleries their studio for one month.  Rather than just viewing completed works on the walls, visitors will see the process of creation, interact with the artists and even try their hand in a “Visitor Studio.” The public work space will have some art supplies, tables, chairs, easels and music and the community is welcome to spend as much time during our open hours creating their own work as they would like. They may also bring their own supplies (no spray paint!)

The artists selected for this inaugural artist residency are:
Rachelle Montoya – mixed media
Ama Posey – painting.
