Family, Determination, and Unity

A Fundraiser for Safe Space

Chico, CA – Documentary screening fundraiser to benefit Safe Space, a local organization serving the unsheltered and those affected by Camp Fire.

Alexx Finding Home captures the unsheltered circumstance, the primal instinct to protect family, and the determination to achieve one's goal, at any cost. At age 27, Alexx Collins fears delivering her first child on the street. Homeless since 14, the responsibilities and challenges to get home seem insurmountable for a woman without a job, bank account or identification. With an extraordinary capacity to love and a community uniting to help, Alexx’s journey home shares the power of determined individuals once connected.

About the director: Ched Lohr is a filmmaker, writer, and musician who connects with individuals across the globe and within his hometown of Chico, CA, to learn about cultural trends and promote understanding. Alexx Finding Home is his second award-winning documentary.
