monca’s Vets Show ends this week, appropriately on Memorial Day Weekend. It is a must see for everyone, not just mothers, fathers, wives, brothers, sisters..everyone who wants to understand, just a little bit more, the effects war has on the ones who have gone through it. The art expresses the inner feelings of our soldiers. Many won’t discuss what happens in war, mostly because they can’t, but with art they can. They can tell you what’s in the back of their minds through paint, ceramics, water colors, sculpture. When you come, read the placards for the most meaningful visit.
This week the ceramics by Ehren Tool, close to 40 pieces, will be given away- it is the express wish of the artist. Rules for the giveaway are below:
70 tickets will be given out at 3:00pm at the reception desk with a donation to the museum (one ticket per person)
Ticket holders must put name and phone # and email on ticket
People place their ticket in the cup of their choice and the cup is removed to the middle table by a volunteer
Cups are available for pick-up between 4pm or when all have been taken.
Refreshments available to celebrate the end of the exhibition!
