Friends of Butte Creek (FBC)and monca (Museum of Northern California Art) are are pleased to co-host the 11th Annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival On-Tour on Friday, November 10th at monca, 900 The Esplanade. FBC, an all-volunteer organization, is working to protect Butte Creek and the endangered spring-run salmon. monca, also an all-volunteer organization, is restoring the Veteran’s hall as well as making art accessible and promoting awareness of Northern California artists through collections, exhibitions and educational programs. This year the costs and the proceeds will be shared to make it a dual fundraiser! Our special event will have a limited seating of 100, for a more intimate experience.
WSFF’s theme is: "At the Edge" – is even more appropriate now than we realized it could be – bringing to mind being at the edge of a great wilderness or a path not taken. Additionally, the phrase embraces the artists, activists and innovators featured in many of our documentary films who are at the edge of progress with new advances in alternative energy, sustainable farming, and the chance to make decisions that will have a positive effect for future generations.
